I was glad to see Abby Larson's post about heron activity south of the fountain. The past two years I've seen a handful of nests in that area.
Both summers I found dead fledglings on the ground--last year more than the previous summer.
But I suppose it must be somewhat successful if they continue to return there.
Any other info, observations from fellow UW-ers?
