Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday April 8. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976.

On April 5 a FORK-TAILED FLYCATCHER was seen at Nehalem Meadows. It could
not be relocated. The Gaston and Port Orford HOODED ORIOLES continue to be
seen. The wintering BULLOCK?S ORIOLE in Coos Bay also continues. The Drano
Lake and Fern Ridge Reservoir TUFTED DUCKS are still being seen. On April 5
another TUFTED DUCK was with scaup on the Columbia River near the Portland
Airport.

ROUGH-WINGED and CLIFF SWALLOWS moved into the state during the week. TUFTED
PUFFINS are now back at Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach.

An early SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER was at Bandon Marsh April 7. A LONG-TAILED
DUCK was at the Necanicum River mouth at Seaside April 4. The Troutdale
Airport WRENTITS continue to be seen. On April 2 a BLACK-THROATED GRAY
WARBLER was at Finley NWR. A female MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD was along Nielsen Road
near Fern Ridge Reservoir April 4.
