Subject: [Tweeters] herons on UW campus

When I was down there last year on a summer evening taking a look at
this group I noticed a live juvi standing on the ground hidden in the
trees and ferns. Not moving much but certainly alert and watching me.
At that time there were still nestlings and they were being actively
fed by adults. Not sure if this guy had fledged (it had juvenal
feathers) or had fallen from the nest.

Did you look at the dead fledglings to see how they died (any apparent
injuries froma predator?).

Not a location that a Bald Eagle will push them from either.
