Hello Tweeters,
Noticed my NEW E-mail at GODWIT513 at COMCAST.COM
I posted few photos of the young baby Great-horned Owls, when this 2 young
coming out of the hole at dusk, than crawling up on the tree ,where the Adult
been sitting all day keeping an Eye on the young ones. One day there was the
immature Bald Eagle was watching the Young, sitting pretty close to them.Last
Wednesday our group saw only one OWLET with the Adult Owl.This is the larger
Owl from the two young, this was on last Wednesday the 7 ND of April, hopeful
some one will see both Owls again.
I been going birdying now on Wednesday with the group, and really enjoying
the birders and also I like the way Nisqually done the refuge, seems we
seeing quite few more birds.I was taken with the Great-horned Owl.When the
tree where this birds was breeding every year.fallen down to the storm
in end of January, presuming since the Owls was not seeing that the nest was
destroyed, since both Adult was not seeing for a while. It was on 2-28 of
February that 1 Adult Owl was sighted.
I believe it was on Wednesday the 10t of March that we saw one Adult Owl was
sitting on the hole who the nest was.David Richardson and I agreed that this
Owl is sitting on a new clutch.
And yes the 2 young Owlet's was sighted in the week of the 21th and I took
pictures on Marsh 31
For some reason there where more attention giving on this Great -horned
Owls,because of the fallen tree.
Hope you enjoying my photos. And I will run in to you in Nisqually Wildlive
Refuge.
Cheers Ruth Sullivan.
