Tina and I birded in Garfield County today. The best bird for Garfield was
a male RED-BREASTED MERGANSER in with a flock of Canada Geese in the Snake
River at Willow Bar. We had a LONG-EARED OWL off Rice Bar Hill Road. In
Whitman County, we had two AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN at the Central Ferry Park.



Of course neither the Pelicans nor the Merganser would oblige us and fly
across the river and the county line...
