Hi,Well I figure the Grosbeak is gone, so we move on!. Tonight just after 9pm, I was on highway 18, westbound, and nearing the 167th Northbound Exit, when a small owl flew from the dead grass and onto the 167 exit sign! I NEARLY HAD A WRECK. (husband NOT happy with my driving) This is amazing to me. I Please do keep an eye out in this area; the bird was hunting from what I could see. I will try to get back there tomorrow, to see if he is there. My husband will not let me go right now, (I want to go back with my camera and look for him, he said there was no place to pull over.) I have had the opportunity over the past several years to watch, take digital photos, and just enjoy a pair of these and their owlets, that are located on private property in Eastern Washington.
