Hello Tweeters -
Went down to my beach between 6:30 - 7:15pm tonight. Usual pigeons and crows cruising around. I looked in the water and noticed a new call and saw a small group of 10 Buffleheads. Then, down the beach I saw 3 Harlequin Ducks hiding towards the hard to get to part of the beach (clever little devils).
As I walked back towards home, I saw one solitary Loon cruising fairly close to shore. Used to seeing him in the morning, but a nice change of pace. Way off in the distance was a huge raft of I don't know what... Brants more than likely, as I am across from Vashon/Maury Island.
Only one GBH was out patiently fishing up at the bend in Massey Creek. I'm sure we'll be back to massive GBH activity again once chicks get hatched.
I only had my point & shoot camera, but am attaching links to a couple of the pics on my flickr.

Unlike last year, I have seen no signs of the Mountain Bluebirds that were hanging around about this time. Oh well!
