Big numbers of Vaux's Swifts over downtown LA tonight.

One of Vaux's Happening goals for the "off season" was to get some
contacts in the artist community of central LA. It seems I got lucky.

Mark Sylbert used to watch tens of thousands of the little swifts drop
into the Old Nabisco Factory chimney before they tore it down three
years ago. At 6:50 tonight "large numbers" were dead square over the
downtown area. We need to find their new roost site and see if we can
get some protection for it.

I find this exciting.
