I've been checking the Everett waterfront for the past week or so, scanning for Ospreys at the Maulsby Mudflats, and did'nt see any all week till yesterday 4/13 when I saw 7 out there on the pilings, one pair perched on an old nest. It will be interesting to see if they use the new concrete pilings (a Pilchuck Audubon project) put up last year on Smith Island.

Saw a single Barn Swallow out over the bay FOY for me. Hopefully there will be Purple Martins this year - last year they were missing in action.
