Hi everyone,

Even a small recirculating stream in the yard can do wonders to attract birds this time of year, as no doubt many of you know.? When I got home late this afternoon and looked out to the stream, in it either drinking or bathing there were 3 adult White-crowned Sparrows, a robin, a first-of-the-year for the yard Golden-crowned Sparrow, and a FOY Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon's).? Nearby were three Red-winged Blackbirds, two females and a male strutting and fluttering his epaulets to the best of his abilities (both females seemed rather unimpressed).? The nearest part of the stream is about eight feet from out kitchen window, so the views even without binocs were very nice.?
