It's been a fun week here in the Okanogan. I've been doing a lot of
transporting (4H, Horses, Soccer) and so I've had the opportunity to
see a lot of territory in the last week. The Sand Hill Crane
migration has been in full swing with 1000's of birds coming through
along with huge flocks of Canadian Geese. Other high points:
Mountain and Western Bluebirds and a Common Loon up by Conconully.
Yellow Rumped Warblers (Audubon) are back--I saw them along the
Okanogan River on the way to Malott (also spotted a Golden Eagle, a
Bald Eagle, several Turkey Vultures and lots of Says Phoebes). Yellow
Headed Black Birds and Red Necked Grebes in Oroville. Today was the
capper with a Williiamson's Sapsucker (a first for me!) at Bonaparte
Lake (which is still frozen) outside of Tonasket.

Love that sunshine!
