for all you Washington folks who bird the Oregon side, and for all
you OBOL-ERS who just want some email -----------------
had 3 BREEDING PLUMAGE Horned Grebes at the Eagle Creek Overlook this
morning (about noonish) ... beautiful ...
also present ... some Goldeneyes, too far out for me to determine which ...
we went to Rowena and hiked Tom McCall NP down to the Columbia ...
had one of the nicest bird counts I've seen up there ...
American Robin (one)
Common Raven (one at TMNP and one just sitting on a fence post next
to the road)
Northern Flicker (one)
Red-tail Hawk (one)
Red-winged Blackbird (not that many as expected)
Ring-necked Duck (him and her)
Turkey Vulture (3)
Violet-green Swallow (lots)
Western Scrub Jay (2)
White-crowned Sparrow (lots)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (lots)
