New migrants are arriving here in eastern WA as well. Up in the Wenas area today west of the Wenas Campground I heard/saw first of the year Gray Flycatchers, House Wrens, Brewer's Sparrows and Chipping Sparrows. Also had a pair of Golden Eagles fly over quite low with wings tucked and apparently chasing each other. The bird in back was quite a bit larger than the lead bird, thus assuming this was a pair. Good day to be out in the ponderosa pine forests.
