Today I discovered an osprey nest on top of a power pole located behind Dunne Lumber?on Hwy. 99 in?Lynnwood. An employee? named Joel?let me in the back of the lumber yard so I could take photos.?? I got some great?photos of one?osprey returning to the nest with a large stick in tow.

Joel said he has worked at Dunne for five years, and the osprey have returned each year to lay eggs and raise their young. The nest is located about two miles northeast of Sunset Ave. as the osprey flies. I wonder if this pair are two of the osprey we saw catching fish off Sunset Ave. last year. Those osprey always headed east with their catch.

The nest on the center field light tower at the Meadowdale softball complex does not appear to be occupied.?
