Hi Tweeters,

At around 1pm today I saw a Townsend's Solitaire at Queen Anne?s Soundview
Terrace Park (also known as Rachel?s Playground). This small park and play
area is on the north-west side of Queen Anne Hill at the intersection of
11th Ave W and W Wheeler St.

The bird was perched in a shrub just to the right of the two benches that
overlook Interbay from the street at the top of the park. I watched for
about 15 minutes as it flitted between the bushes in the park and the trees
on the north side of the street, occasionally hopping down to gobble up a
worm. Eventually, it flew off to the north after some pretty relentless
mobbing by the resident Anna's Hummingbird.

At 5pm I figured I would head back and see if the bird had returned. Sure
enough it was back in the same location! Hopefully, it will stick around for
anyone who happens to be out and about in Queen Anne tonight.

Cheers,
Dave Busby
