Here in Cinebar at my feeders early this afternoon, there were Stellar
Jays and Evening Grosbeak (both very noisy), Black-capped and
Chestnut-backed Chickadees, and Pine Siskins, and eating white millet on
the ground with the Song and Fox Sparrows, Juncos, and Mourning Doves
(3) were the beautiful White-crowned Sparrow that has been visiting this
week AND a Golden-crowned Sparrow--a lifelist bird for me. Very lovely
bird, but not so much as the White-crowned.

(I saw a deer peaking through the trees behind the feeder just as if she
were wondering what all the noise was about! Eventually, she retreated
although her normal route is through the path there...)

Note for Dave's records: last week at Borst Park, I saw a female Scaup
beside the lake (or pond or whatever that's called). It was the first
time I had seen one there, and I am not familiar enough with them to say
definitely whether it was the Lesser or Greater, but its smooth round
head led me to believe it was the latter.
