Subject: [Tweeters] Previous and recent Verdin records for WA

It seems to me unlikely that someone would claim to have seen and
photographed a Verdin in Washington only to have that report referred
to as "supposedly photographed in Washington"... Skeptic
extraordinaire! I am sure there was no intent to denigrate the
sighting and/or the photograph, nor the reporter of both. Why is it
so hard for so many people to "believe" a bird can show up where it
is "not supposed to be", but yet believe unquestioningly discredited
parts of the supposedly "human-induced"
"global-warming-climate-change" hype (I am NOT referring to those
aspects or parts still under review)? I guess it's because it was Owl
Gore who proffered and promoted it, or because he won an award [that
should have gone to a real scientist] -- If I had a vote, BOTH Verdin
records would be considered valid until proven otherwise (go ahead,
try to prove a negative!)... Who captures and transports, surviving,
small birds to obscure locations in any northern tier state??? But,
since I'm both a skeptic, AND live in a different state, my "opinion"
will no doubt be treated with the due [or undue] respect it deserves,
if not just plain old skepticism itself. Herewith, due to lateness of
spring birds in my neck of the woods, some tension neutralizing
ditties from the past: "Spring is sprung the grass is rizz, I wonder
where the birdies is..." "All the boids is on the wing... Don't be
absoid, all the wings is on the boid!" - Happy traillii! - Jim Greaves, MT
