Hi Tweets,
We were hoping for a warbler fall-out this morning (4-25-10) but
found none at the Willow Creek Hatchery, Edmonds Marsh, or Yost
Park. Not even a Cassin's Vireo at Yost Park. On a positive note,
there were about 50 Least Sandpipers in the Marsh this morning and
two Western Sandpipers. As we were about to move on, a Spotted
Sandpiper flew in and dropped into the ponds on the south side of
Willow Creek that can be seen from Point Edwards. One birder also
reported seeing three Marbled Murrelets from Marina Beach. Yost Park
had a pair of Hairy Woodpeckers and several Brown Creepers along with
other resident birds.
