I had a few county year birds in the yard this morning so checked out
Kiwanis Park which is a block away. Among my FOY for Adams County were
Rufous Hummingbird, Cassin's Vireo, Orange-crowned, Nashville, and
Townsend's Warbler, and Cassin's Finch. There was a Peregrine Falcon at the
Para Ponds, but the water is high and shorebirds were few. Still more than
800 N Shovelers there and in the old potato lagoons (behind the gate).

Since Matt will be asking for County List updates in less than a week and
I'm not in Adams County very often, please post your FOY sightings for the
county or enter them on eBird since there are more gaps this year than the
last three. I'd like to stress accuracy in posting to a county since it
appears a few county firsts posted to eBird were "pinned" inaccurately and
likely were not even in Adams County when recorded. An example: most of the
north end of Columbia NWR and all of Lower Crab Creek Road, Corfu, and
County Line Ponds are in Grant County.
