Tweets and Inland-NW birders,
The board of the Washington Ornithological Society decided to make a couple of important decisions this year. The first is a move that will encourage membership. We have introduced a student membership category to encourage anybody in school to join WOS at the discounted rate of 10.00 off the current yearly membership rate. This category is intended for anybody through college that is currently a student. The second category is for people who don't want to have to remember to renew their yearly WOS membership. The "Lifetime" membership is currently set at 500.00 which pays for Twenty Years of membership at the current rate of 25.00 per year. In addition to not having to remember to renew dues, it also locks in your membership rate should dues increase over the next 20 years. Both will be available through the Paypal option on wos.org and printed on the back of the next newsletter.

The second major change came from this weekend's meeting. Jane Hadley helped to push WOS into the current wave of digital blitz... Twitter. That's right, in addition to Tweeters, WOS is now on "Twitter". Here is the link to follow WOS on Twitter: http://twitter.com/WOS_Birding To follow WOS it would be at WOS_Birding. Apparently somebody beat us to the punch of just "WOS".

Here are a few posts Jane put up today if people want to check them out. The board envisions that this can be a timely updates on WOS happenings.
