Many years ago (I'd ?have to dig out my notes) I watched an Osprey dive and come up with a "flatfish" (assume Flounder of some kind). That was at false Bay on San Juan Island.

Mid-day, as we worked out in our garden we were treated to a low fly-by by an OSPREY heading east up?from the beach flats about a mile north of Edmonds ferry dock.? A clearly silhouetted medium-sized flatfish was clutched in its talons.? In the past week I am again seeing an osprey cruising the shoreline nearly every day, always a treat.
