Over the years the Mountain Quail has proved to be one of my "nemesis"
birds. Others have been on that list and eventually observed and
removed but this one remains - even missed a "stakeout" when a storm
blew in unexpectedly. I have some time to roam this weekend and was
thinking either of the coast or to Eastern Washington, but maybe this is
the time to finally see this lovely bird. Any suggestions (surefire
recommendations even better)?
