Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

On July 30 a MAGNOLIA WARBLER and an AVOCET were at Detroit Flats. The
Stewart Pond INDIGO BUNTING continues to be seen in Eugene.
Shorebird movements continue with many BAIRD?S SANDPIPERS reported during
the week. A PECTORAL SANDPIPER was at Fern Ridge Reservoir August 1.
A large school of bait fish at the mouth of the Siuslaw River attracted a
large number of birds, mainly BROWN PELICANS and HEERMANN?S GULLS. About 30
RHINOCEROS AUKLETS were among the swarm. The Siltcoos River LOGGERHEAD
SHRIKE continues to be seen. A NIGHTHAWK was at Gearhart August 3.
On August 1 a male CANVASBACK was on Force Lake in North Portland. A male
REDHEAD remains at the nearby Vanport Wetlands. A LINCOLN?S SPARROW was at
Ankeny NWR August 2.
The Tumalo Reservoir RED-SHOULDERED HAWK now is joined by two juveniles. A
WHITE-FACED IBIS is now being seen at Hatfield Lake near Bend. A MOCKINGBIRD
was at Summer Lake and a GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE was at Paisley during the
week-end.
