Hi Tweets,

This morning (8-7-10) there were four peeps in the Edmonds Marsh:
7-10 LEAST SANDPIPERS, 1 SPOTTED SANDPIPER, multiple KILLDEER, and 1
SEMI-PALMATED SANDPIPER. One of the VIRGINIA RAILS also was seen on
the far side of Willow Creek. One of the several GREAT BLUE HERONS
was perched in a tree under the nests. Others were in the grass in
the west part of the Marsh.

An OSPREY was in one of the Willow Creek Hatchery Douglas firs. Of
interest on the Point Edwards public path was 1 ORANGE-CROWNED
WARBLER and a calling SWAINSON'S THRUSH.

Among the waterfront birds, 1 PURPLE MARTIN was seen near the nesting
gourds.
