Tweets,

Spent the night at Pete Lake this weekend to a constant serenade of
Evening Grosbeaks; total numbers perhaps in the hundreds. They were
everywhere: treetops, on the ground and in fire pits. Plus, several
small groups of Red Crossbill and a half dozen Common Nighthawk at dusk
over the lake. Barrow's Goldeneye and Spotted Sandpiper on the lake.
Many Western Wood-Pewee, plus a few Olive-sided Flycatchers and one
Hammond's.

On the way back, stopped also at Tucquala Lake where there was a
Calliope Hummingbird feeding on thistle, Hairy and American Three-toed
Woodpecker in adjacent trees, and a couple of Lincoln's Sparrows in the
shrubs. Oh, and more Evening Grosbeaks.

Between the bridge crossing the Cooper River and the outlet of Cooper
Lake were many dozen Vaux's Swift.
