Much to my surprise, I had a male and female BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS in my
backyard this evening. Normally I only see them passing through on spring
migration. This pair appeared to be heading south. Also seen this evening,
was a pair of PURPLE MARTINS cruising over Lake Jeane. Last week we only had
a single female here in Twin Lakes.
