hi all:

the vultures continue in the carnation area at the junction of 203 and
carnation farm road. there were six there at about 10 am, but the tree was
empty at 9 am. that leads me to think the tree is some sort of staging area
but not a roost. no redheads were there this am. yesterday's count should
have been ten, not nine; one was hidden behind one of the few leafy
branches. they let me approach the tree on the shoulder of the hwy, but i
didn't stay long or get overly close, so i don't know how skittish they
might be. perhaps diane can shed some light on that.

lighting for photos really sux. if the sun would come out, it might help.

regards,

t
