Howdy,

For the last three evenings (10-12 Aug), I've seen at least one Black
Swift (two tonight) over the intersection of Cannon, Craig, and Fawn
Roads in Packwood (on the west side of the Cowlitz River off of Skate
Creek Road S.). Sightings have been between 7:25 and 8 PM. On each
evening, total sighting time was less than a minute. Parking is best along Craig Road. There are quite a few Violet-green Swallows along with Vaux's Swifts and Common Nighthawks here as well.

Also, there was a Brown-headed Cowbird on Stevens Canyon Road in Mount
Rainier NP yesterday. As mentioned recently, various sources have this
listed as rare for the park.
