Walking the dog just now at Twin Ponds Park in Shoreline we happened on a
Northern Waterthrush immediately south of the SW corner of the trail around
the ponds. This part of the trail is best accessed from the SW corner of
the soccer field. I heard the bird's high, odd-sounding Peek! note first,
then spotted it just off an exposed patch of mud. Prominent eyeline, heavily
streaked breast, constant tail bobbing. I didn't notice any buff on the
flanks, so that would seem to preclude the extremely unlikely LA
Waterthrush. Saw around 2:50 PM I think - Marc Breuninger, Shoreline WA.
