Hello Tweeters,

As reported yesterday (thank you!), there is a Northern Waterthrush at Shoreline's Twin Ponds Park, which is located at NE 155th and 1st Ave. NE. Once again, the trail at the south end of the ponds is accessed about 10 yards south of the SW corner of the soccer field. There is a convenient parking lot for the park on 1st Ave. NE just south of there. Along the western part of the short trail following the south end of the pond, before it turns northward along the shore, there is an exposed area of mud to the south of the trail. I was there about 10 minutes before spotting the bird, around 7:30 a.m. (Sunday), and got very good looks for a minute or so before it disappeared back into the vegetation to the west. It did not sing. Great find for me, right in my backyard! Only my second Northern Waterthrush.

Good birding,
