Hey tweets, sorry for the late post - I actually do have another life
besides living at the Fill, and lately it's taken me over, sad to say.
I did manage to break out early yesterday morning before the heat and
my responsibilities arrived. I found a Solitary Sandpiper on Main
Pond, along with a Spotted Sandpiper (which I think has been here all
season), and a SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER. The Semipalmated ID is thanks
to Doug Parrott, who happened by and took a lovely photo. The best I
could do with only my binocs in hand was a "hmmm, that sandpiper over
there doesn't look quite right," meaning it didn't gizz like a Western
or a Least but what the hey.

Over at the Dime Lot (E-5), the Warbler Tree area was quite busy. A
MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER was foraging in a little tree with yellow
berries near the Old Wooden Bridge (which is no longer there, but you
can still see the footings). Also present there was a Pacific Slope
Flycatcher.

A Eurasian Collared-Dove was flying around the central area of the
Fill - I've been seeing this bird regularly for the past few weeks.
And, the Double-crested Cormorants are back from breeding. - Connie,
Seattle
