Tweeters,

I just recieved a phone call from Mike and Merry Lynn Denny asking me to post the following.

They just found an adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL sitting on the beach at the Grayland Beach Access, just south of Westport. They found the bird at 9:45am. Mike reports that there are approximately 10,000-12,000 Gulls sitting on the beach there and feeding on Herring in the surf. Also in the area visible from shore are approx. 8,000 SOOTY SHEARWATERS and at least 1 PINK-FOOTED SHEARWATER.
