Steve Mlodinow, his lovely girlfriend Tracy and I spent a day birding Clark Co, WA. Two highlights jump out a gray catbird singing at Capt. William Clark Park (say that five times) in Washougal and a red-necked grebe at Vancouver Lake - from the flushing channel. Two red-shouldered hawks were seen west of the Hunter Gate, River S Unit, Ridgefield NWR. Shorebirding was light and landbirding did not have a lot of migrants to be be found.
