We tried birding for shorebirds yesterday just in case a few lingered.



At 1pm one Solitary Sandpiper came out of the tall grasses and gave us super
looks at same spot.

At the mouth of Rock Creek we had 2 Spotted Sandpipers and ~12 Least
Sandpipers and 1 Western Sandpiper.

Tom Mansfield was just leaving as we arrived and reported finding the
Semipalmated Sandpiper.

Two more Spotted Sandpipers were also found at Skamania Landing sitting on
the dam.



One Black Swift was seen by us and Tom. It was a very good day.

Hi Wilson and Tweeters,

I got a late start today but around noon there was still 1 SOLITARY

SANDPIPER at the Bonneville Hot Springs Resort pond. At 1:30 the mudflats at

the mouth of Rock Creek had some kids running around having a good time and

I assumed no luck, but a little persistence paid off with 1 LEAST SANDPIPER

and 1 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER in the corner toward the park. Thanks for the

post Wilson.
