Hello Tweeters ,

I now found out that my long message disappeared permanently.I like to
apology that I made a mistake hitting the wrong key.
I am writing a shorter version, since I already been tired sitting to long
on the computer.

Loren Webster and I was meeting 2 birders who we met in Wenas ,there are
Warren & Kiyoma Walker from Spokane. We met them early on Sunday
morning, where we had al Breakfast at Mac. Donalds.
High tide was in the afternoon at 1.00. PM,so we had plenty time to figure
out where to going first.
We started in Westport where we tried for Rock birds .The only Rockbird was
a flying calling Black Turnstone ,Hard to find this bird perched close
to the water, who so much blended in ,since it was a juvenile bird.We had an
Adult later walking among the 400 Marbled Godwit's on the other end where
the boat launch is We also had few Pigeon Guillemot lot's of Heermann gulls
and 75 low count here (but the rest around close to 100 on the way to
Bottle Beach,We had a hard time figure out an all black very small bird
with a strong bill all alone in the marina. I finally figure it out,
the same species I rescue last year ,the Rhinoceros.I hope that this bird
also is not sick, since he was alone. DC & Pelagic Cormorant was also seen.

Off to Bottle Beach,Here we me some of the birders I know and we exchanged
some thoughts,
There where not that many birds as you expect here but the full migration is
not over ,it is still early. Here we saw many Black-bellied plover many
still in full breeding plumage(around 80 birds, Dunlin around 50,Dowitcher
species, did not looking to my scope 50 birds, Western & Least
Sandpipers and many Semipalmated Plovers in close few, always staying close
the beach.

Next to the Sewage Ponds.
Spotted Sandpiper 1 bird, Bairds 2 birds,Least Sandpipers 4 birds, Killdeere
4 birds, Female Shoveler 4 birds, female Mallards 23 birds,
Also many Heermann's Gulls.

Next to the OYEHUT brackish Wetlands( who are drying out)

We found 3 Pectoral Sandpipers,Bairds 4 birds , RED-NECKED PHALAROPED 14
birds, Greater Yellowlegs, 1 bird, LESSER YELLOWLEGS
2 birds, SHORT-BILLED DOWITSHERS 4 bird,there also was 4 Baird
Sandpipers.

NEXT BILLS SPIT, WHIMBREL 12 birds, Great blue HERON 8 birds,I

forgot to mention we had on the end of the Marina in Westport 3 Sea Lions
2 of them was smaller making a lot of noise,And than there was the big
monster what been an attraction in the Marina for years. He is still alive
and looking bigger than ever.I don't know his name is the name Herschel?
We had a great visit and I wished we had more than 1 day.I was hoping to
going for the Lesser Black -backed Gull for the westside.

Cheers & good birdying, Ruth Sullivan
