Subject: [Tweeters] Bainbridge Island Red Phalarope

Hi all,

I briefly sea-watched from Skiff Point on the east side of Bainbridge
Island this morning before heading to work. Skiff Point is basically
directly across from West Point. I had one RED PHALAROPE foraging along
a rip off shore from the point. I also had one Heermann's Gull. It seems
this species hangs around a bit later every year here in Puget Sound.
Alcids included numbers of Common Murres and Rhinoceros Auklets, a few
Pigeon Guillemots, and five Marbled Murrelets (rather uncommon offshore
from the Island). I did not have any Ancient Murrelets.

Cheers and good birding,
Brad Waggoner
