Subject: [Tweeters] From the CBC regional editor

The Christmas bird count season is fast approaching and it's time
for compilers and observers to start making their plans (if you all
haven't done so already). This season, Chistmas and New Years fall
on a weekend and this has the effect of crowding counts to other
available dates. More so than usual, smaller counts and counts in
more rural areas are going to be looking for extra observers. Check
your calendar and try to do an extra count or two.

I have updated the CBC regional editor's page with working links
to CBC calendars for both Oregon and Washington. I've updated the
CBC FAQ on species that need and don't need details (Please stop
sending me details on Eurasian Collared Doves).

Compilers will want to check in that the NAS site to pre-register
their count (not required, but recommended) And those compilers out
there who are still reporting COMMON SNIPE and "small-form" CANADA
GOOSE. Take a look at the page about how to fix that.

Stay tuned
