Subject: [Tweeters] Thurston and Pierce birds

Tweets - I was doing the Puget Sound Seabird Survey today, and while I
didn't find anything of note at any of my survey sites, I did manage to
chase a couple of recently reported birds in the Olympia area beforehand.
The GREAT EGRET was near the Twin Barns at Nisqually, and there was a single
TRUMPETER SWAN amid a flock of American Wigeon (which included a male
EURASIAN WIGEON) at the southeast corner of Capitol Lake in Olympia.
Also, on my way home, I swung by the SportCo ponds in Fife, and amongst the
Canada Geese was a single GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE.
It was a beautiful day, but BOY WAS THAT WIND COLD. I was shivering too
hard to see if anything else was amongst a flock of 500-700 SURF SCOTER at
Purdy...
