All,
Friday Terry Mace and I were birding at Belfair State Park. A ranger
asked us what we were seeing and then asked if we had seen their Golden
Eagle. He said there had been a month long debate if the bird was a
juvenile Bald Eagle or a Golden Eagle. Somebody got a shot of an Adult
Bald Eagle and the bird in question together and the bird was larger
than the Adult.
I went to Belfair today to see for myself. I managed to get four very
long range shots of the bird in flight. I followed the bird into a tree
where there were eventually the Golden Eagle, a Juvenile Bald Eagle and
two Adult Bald eagles, all visible at the same time in my scope.

Drive to the end of the parking lot. The eagles are regularly in the
trees looking east toward the highway.
