I have four flickers come regularly ot my suet feeder. There is definitely
an adult male in the group, then what look like an adult female and two
younger birds. One of them had a much more yellow cast to its underwings
than the rest. I have heard that they roost in cavities together in the
winter, but does anyone know if these are parents and the year's young? Or
if not, what sort of grouping it may be? I tell you, who needs soap
operas?
