I live in a neighborhood with man made ponds on the south end of Mercer Island. We routinely have Hooded Mergansers, Scaup, American Wigeons, Ring Necked Ducks, Buffleheads, and an occasional Great Blue Heron.

On Oct 15 I saw what I think is a Wilson's Snipe by the edge of the water. It was there just long enough for me to capture a few photos.
