Several days ago someone on Tweeters posted a link to an animated map
showing the two-decade westward spread of the Eurasian Collared Dove.

Today eBird released several, even more awesome, monochrome heat maps
showing the seasonal movements of a number of other species. Watching the
animations may make spawn of all kinds of new questions about bird
movements.
