We hope in Klamath Falls attending the 2011 Winter Wings

We have 3 full days of birding and nature-related activities scheduled
for Presidents' Day weekend (Feb 18-20), including guided field trips,
workshops, presentations, a packed line-up of photography activities,
and free family fun. We're also offering, for the first time, a guided
owl prowl at Klamath Marsh National Wildlife Refuge on Thursday before
the festival officially kicks off. We're especially excited this year
to have Jeffrey Gordon -- new President of the America Birding
Association -- and Art Morris -- one of the world's premier nature
photographers.

Online registration is expected to go live at the web site tomorrow
(Saturday, December 11th). Have a look at the lineup and be ready to
register ASAP, as activities sell out quickly (some within just
hours!). Over 500 people registered for the festival in 2009 and 2010.

Over 100 species of birds can be found in the Klamath Basin during
winter. Six national wildlife refuges, covering nearly 200,000 acres,
attract an impressive variety of waterfowl and raptors, many in
astounding numbers. Whether you are a beginning birder, a life-long
birding enthusiast, or a budding naturalist, there is something for
you at the Winter Wings Festival in the Klamath Basin this winter!
