Here is a great opportunity for young birders in the region. It is a great opportunity and a fantastic experience.

you will see a link to the Schantzbird website, where you can an
application for the 2011 scholarship trip to the Kachemak Bay Shorebird
festival. This is a chance for a undergrad or graduate student
interested in birding to attend the 2011 festival compliments of the
Timothy J. Schantz Memorial Foundation. Please get the word out quickly
as applications will only be accepted until January 15th. For
