Hello Tweeters Community,


I have very recently agreed to lead the Christmas Bird Count (CBC) for Mercer Island. Judy R. of Mercer Island has led the effort here for many years, has done an excellent job and has been very helpful.


I need more people to participate in the count on January 1. It would be helpful if you can identify many of the common species in the area. You will be with experienced birders. You would be part of of several small teams, assigned to the five key areas of the Island. Mercer Island residents and all others are welcome. If you have feeders in your yard on the Island you can invite others to come and observe or you make the observations and report.


You will meet some nice people, be in some great habitat and have some nice food. The hours of the count are 8:00 AM- 1:00 PM.
