Hi Tweeters it's been awhile since I submitted anything. Well this Redbreasted Sapsucker has been hanging around for a week or so, on this tree.. the thing that seems odd, is he (I'm assuming he) is not afraid of anything.. There are cats around.. and you can walk right up to him.. he likes to peck on the tree around a foot from the ground.. I did walk up to him and put my hand out to see if he wasn't mobile.. and he hopped up the tree.. so it isn't an injury.. just wondering if it is common for these birds to be not afraid of people? He let me walk right up and snap a cell phone picture. thanks for the info.
