Hi Tweets,

It was a gorgeous day to be outside today, and I used the opportunity to
check on some survey sites for the Puget Sound Seabird Survey (
www.seabirdsurvey.org). I visited Harper
Pier<http://maps.google.com/maps?q=47.522352,-122.518061&num=1&t=h&sll=47.624288,-122.329314&sspn=0.04115,0.045801&hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=47.521678,-122.518137&spn=0.003811,0.006727&z=17>,
Sinclair Inlet<http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=47.539722+-122.662056+&sll=47.521678,-122.518137&sspn=0.003811,0.006727&g=47.522352,-122.518061&ie=UTF8&ll=47.53905,-122.66186&spn=0.00762,0.013454&t=h&z=16>,
Suquamish Museum<http://maps.google.com/maps?q=47.706368,-122.579098&num=1&t=h&hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=47.70595,-122.57869&spn=0.007595,0.013454&z=16>,
Point No Point<http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=47.912254+-122.526537+&sll=47.70595,-122.57869&sspn=0.007595,0.013454&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=16>,
the end of NE Twin Spit
Rd<http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=47.926724+-122.615683+&sll=47.911248,-122.526779&sspn=0.007565,0.013454&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=16>
and
the Eglon Boat Launch<http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=47.862586+-122.513866+&sll=47.926721,-122.615525&sspn=0.007563,0.013454&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=16>.
No rarities to report but highlights were a lingering *HEERMANN'S GULL* at
Point No Point where all five expected alcids were seen (1 *ANCIENT MURRELET
* far out mid-channel); 14 *MARBLED MURRELETS* on calm water at the end of
NE Twin Spit Road, two Dall's Porpoise's were also seen beyond the spit; a
nice flock of *LONG-TAILED DUCKS* in Agate Pass scoped from Suquamish
Musuem; and a lingering *CALIFORNIA GULL* at Eglon Boat Launch.

I was really impressed with the numbers of seabirds at Harper Pier
(unfortunately an ornery neighbor truncated my stay, be sure to park
parallel to the shore in the gravel lot and not slightly angled like I did,
even though he had PLENTY of room to get by). Facing directly into a very
bright morning sun prevented me from staying at Suquamish Museum but here
are the rest of the eBird reports.
