Hey Tweets,

Found at least one Rough-legged Hawk in Fall City this morning - hovering over a field Northeast of the intersection described in the previous post. Enjoyed it in bincoculars for a bit, and thought to get the camera after it was moving a little farther away. When I had the camera and looked back up, I was surprised to see how much lower in the sky it was from a half-minute earlier, then realized that there were two raptors up there! I tried chasing, and I tried waiting for them to come back my way - neither worked all that well, so I was not able to confirm that both were Roughies - but the flight seemed very similar. Eventually lost them about two "blocks" south of there (we ain't talking city blocks though...).

Other birds in the area included California Quail, Western Meadowlarks, Common Ravens and the regular cast of sparrows and blackbirds.
