I have been trying to identify a flock of birds that hangs out in my area, mostly in a tall evergreen tree outside my view. I thought they were Starlings but this week they swooped into my front porch area and were both in the food bowl and on the suet. Now, I think they are Brown Headed Cowbirds. Except the head isn't as dark as shown in my reference books and on my iPod app: iBird West. The color change is barely visable and the body is solid color, not speckled as most Starlings are.

Anyone have better identification for me?
