The Eastside Audubon Society (EAS)?had its 2010 CBC on Saturday, Dec. 18. It was cloudy and windy from about 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., wind quit & some clearing until 2 p.m. when wind with rain came back, temperatures of 42-48 F. Many of the fields were flooded in the Snoqualmie Valley due to the recent heavy rains. Some roads had only opened the day before.

?We had a 50 people covering eight areas (the CBC circle is centered just south of Beaver Lake in Sammamish).?We had?one backyard bird count report and ended up with 93 species which includes 3 seen during count week. This is our third highest total, compares to a high of 95 in 2008 CBC. The total of 13,035 birds compares to a 10 year average (10YA) of 14,757.
